Virtual Pitch Logo Insertion
Fanview successfully pitches new innovation for Guinness PRO14 match branding
Combining our love of technology with our willingness to challenge and modernise traditional workflows, we joined Diageo and their activation partners, Verve The Live Agency, in looking for a new way of delivering on-pitch match logos.
With there being demonstrable disadvantages to the current method of painting branding on to the pitch surface, we proposed a fully-digital, virtual alternative using optical tracking.
Having successfully produced two trials of the technology with TG4 and BBC Wales, we moved on to delivering a virtual centre pitch logo at a live outside broadcast in Cork for Sky Sports with no incidents.
